The Wanted - Lightning

The Wanted are an English-Irish boy band, consisting of members Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran. They formed in 2009 through mass auditions held by Jayne Collins who also put together The Saturdays.

"Lightning" is the third single from their second studio album, Battleground. The song debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It's a catchy dance-pop tune and I love how the video was filmed at night has lots of explosions and flashes of light. Makes sense, as it helps to capture the title of the song quite easily. It's visually interesting and the guys look like they're having a great time.

Britney Spears - I Wanna Go

Britney Spears - I Wanna Go pop music Penaroza

"I Wanna Go" is a song by Britney Spears, released as the third single from her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. A catchy dance song that features a heavy bassline and drum fills, I Wanna Go was written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback, with additional writing by Savan Kotecha. Max Martin was responsible for many of the hot "teeny bopper" pop songs that were popular in the late 90s to early 2000s.

The music video for I Wanna Go is a fun look at her life and career, while making fun with some of ridiculousness such as paparazzi cyborgs. Although her vocals are processed (some might say over processed) it's a catchy, high energy anthem with typical saucy Britney lyrics and a great beat. It's great to see her have fun in the video, while poking fun of herself.

Remix: Adele – Skyfall (Cosmic Dawn & Andy Reese Remix)

I've enjoyed Cosmic Dawn's remixes for quite a while. Whether it's a radio or club remix, he always manages to pull out and emphasize the best portions of a song, and get's me moving to his beat. His work with Adele's "Skyfall" 007 theme song is another success. He’s turned a song that I found to be too slow and boring into something that is really growing on me. For these remixes, Cosmic Dawn worked with fellow producer Andy Reese and has created both a radio edit and a club version. Enjoy below of these remixes below.

Rihanna - SOS

Rihanna's "SOS" was released as the lead single to her second album "A Girl Like Me". It peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and became Rihanna's first number one single on the Hot 100. "SOS" also peaked at number one of the US Hot Dance Club Play chart and US Pop Songs chart as well as number two on the UK Singles Chart.

In "SOS" Rihanna successfully sampled a portion of "Tainted Love", a song written by Ed Cobb in 1965 and popularized by Soft Cell.
